Description
Product Overview
SFP-GE-TM is a hot-pluggable RJ-45 copper SFP transceiver for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T links up to 100m over Cat 5 or better copper cabling. It requires an SGMII-compatible SFP host interface.
Connection & Selection Guide
Connection: SGMII-compatible SFP host → SFP-GE-TM → RJ-45 Cat 5 or better cable → 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet device.
Important: SGMII and SERDES host interfaces are not interchangeable. Verify host compatibility, supported speeds, vendor coding and module power before ordering. For a SERDES-only Gigabit host, consider the SFP-GE-TS model instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum supported distance?
Up to 10km on suitable single-mode fiber, subject to the link budget and connector loss.
Which optical wavelength and connector does it use?
A nominal 1310nm optical wavelength and duplex LC interface.
Is the module compatible with multimode fiber?
This model is specified for single-mode fiber. Select an appropriate multimode transceiver if your installation uses MMF.
What speed does it support?
It is designed for 10GBASE-LR applications at a 10.3125Gbps line rate, not for 1G SFP operation.
Does it support DDM / DOM?
Yes. Digital diagnostic monitoring is supported when the host equipment exposes these readings.
Can I insert it while equipment is powered on?
Yes, in a compatible hot-pluggable SFP+ host. Follow your device manufacturer's procedures.
Will it work with any brand of switch?
Not automatically. Check the host brand, model, firmware and vendor coding requirements before ordering.
